Fuzzy Control of Automatic Drilling of Drum-type Percussive Reverse Circulation Drilling Machines
Abstract:Based on the analysis on the major dynamic force on the drill bit during it falling down, this paper presents a simple model of estimating the falling down time suitable for fuzzy control in the auto-drilling procedure. With the fuzzy control method used to control the auto-drilling procedure of the drum-type percussive reverse circulation drilling machine, it is possible to quick track the ROP change caused by the change of the drilled formation.
