Field Experimental Research on the Influence of the PDC Composite Layer Thickness on the Properties of the Diamond Bit |

Abstract:Basing on the abrasion principles of cutting teeth of the PDC bit a series of field experiments were made. The results show that the PDC composite layer thickness has great influence on the service life and drilling rate of a diamond bit. For a specified formation a optimism composite layer thickness may be found. And the composite layer thickness of the cutting teeth is a key factor for the optimism design of the diamond bit. |
