Freezing Construction Technique of Launching Section of Shield in Large Cross-river Tunnel |

Abstract:The diameter is 14.93 m in a shield project of river-crossing channel in Nanjing, where the geological conditions are complicated in launching section with abundant groundwater. To ensure the safety of the launching section, the combination of tri-axial cement mixing pile and vertical freezing were adopted. The paper introduced the freezing construction technique in launching section with the construction case. |
