Abstract:Based on the characteristics of directional drilling trajectories, various trajectory calculation model errors, tool face angle calculation errors, and their impact on trajectory correction effects were analyzed. A tool face angle control method was proposed and successfully tested at a certain drilling site. The on-site application results show that when a certain drilling encounters a formation, according to the principle of quantitative evaluation of single measurement points one by one, the minimum error model has a strong correlation with the formation. The natural curve method has the smallest calculation error for hole depths of 3109m to 3185m, and the cylindrical spiral method has the smallest calculation error for hole depths of 3185m to 3278m. Only some discrete measurement points in the entire hole section have the smallest error in the minimum curvature method; According to the principle of comprehensive evaluation based on the minimum number of measurement points and absolute average error of the entire hole section, the minimum curvature method is preferred. Analyzed the impact of natural inclination during drilling on tool face torsion, selected a trajectory calculation model based on evidence, accurately controlled the drilling trajectory, and effectively avoided subjective and arbitrary selection of inclinometer calculation methods or inclination tools.
